Brooklyn, NY—Melville House Bookstore is pleased to present ii ss, a collaborative work by artist Hermine Ford and writer Kathleen Fraser. On exhibit are selected drawings by Hermine Ford juxtaposed with text by Kathleen Fraser curated by Jeri Coppola. ii ss will be published by Granary Press in 2010. Her work has appeared in five solo shows in NYC, and most recently was included in Present Tense at Spanierman Modern: June 12 - Aug 2, 2008, curated by Don Christensen with Mary Heilmann. She currently teaches at the Mt. Royal Graduate Program at the Maryland Institute College of Art.Writer Kathleen Fraser has published eighteen books of poems, most recently W I T N E S S (2007, Chax). She is the winner of a Guggenheim and two N.E.A. Fellowships in Poetry, and the Frank O'Hara Award for innovative achievement. She currently teaches at California College of the Arts/SF and lives for the spring months of each year in Italy, lecturing widely on American poetry and translating Italian poets.
